Update on Chelator Shortage
British Anti-Lewisite is the only chelator approved by Health Canada for the treatment of acute lead, mercury, and arsenic poisonings. The Ontario Poison Centre has received updated information regarding the back order of this chelating agent. Earliest date of potential resolution is September 2020.
